Authenticity, explained
One tap.
One cap.
One of a kind.
A tiny chip is sewn into every cap. Touch it with your phone and, two seconds later, you know it is genuine — and that it is yours.
Interactive demo

01 — Try it
Drag the phone onto the cap.
Follow what happens in the two seconds between the tap and the green tick.
Drag the phone to the circle — or just tap it.
- 1
The chip wakes up
It has no battery: the phone’s field powers it for a split second, like a contactless card.
- 2
It counts the tap
Every scan moves its counter one step forward — it can never go back.
41 → 41 - 3
It signs with its secret key
A key locked inside the chip turns the counter into a signature only a real ALAQAL chip can produce.
········ - 4
The phone opens a one-time link
No app needed. The link carries the counter and the signature.
alaqal.com/certificate/… - 5
ALAQAL checks three things
- The signature is genuine
- The counter is new — not a copy
- No. 427 exists, once, in the registry
02 — Inside the strap
Three secrets the size of a coin.
The chip sits inside the sweatband, just behind the silver clasp. It is invisible, needs no battery and lasts as long as the cap.

A secret key
Like a handwritten signature nobody can imitate.
Written once at the factory, it can never be read out — not by a phone, not even with lab equipment.
A counter
Like a ticket that is punched at every scan.
Each tap gives a new number, so every link is different. A link that has already been used is refused.
A unique identity
Like a fingerprint, paired with the engraved serial.
Chip and clasp number أ ٠٤٢٧ are recorded together. One cannot be swapped without the other.
03 — Your turn
Play the counterfeiter.
Pick a trick. See what happens.
Caught.
That link carried counter 42. ALAQAL has already seen 42, so the replay is spotted at once.
Caught.
Without the secret key, the signature is wrong. It is like forging a signature you have never seen.
Caught.
The key is sealed in hardware built for bank cards. Opening the chip destroys it — and the real cap still holds its number.
04 — The registry
One of 500. Forever.
Every cap of the first edition has its own certificate in a public registry on the blockchain — a ledger nobody can rewrite, not even us. Touch a square.
05 — Ownership
The certificate follows the cap.
Claim
First tap after purchase: enter your email and the certificate is in your name. No crypto wallet to set up — it is created for you.
Keep
Your name, the edition number and the cap’s history live on its certificate page, reachable with a tap.
Pass it on
Selling or gifting it? Transfer the certificate in one step. The next owner gets proof that it is the real one.
This page is an interactive demonstration of the planned system. The cap is in development; certificates shown here are simulated in your browser and are not proof of purchase.
